I live in Marks Tey and the road already can't cope with the traffic through there at peak times. It is often shut due to accidents. This seems as though no one has thought about the residents!

The proposed scope of development is far too large for the area.

The environmental impact would be huge. All to satisfy a few builders who want scale and quick profit based on yet more indentikit house-builds. Without huge investment in infrastructure including schools, public transport and significant road upgrades taking years of time and thousands of local house prices you are simply trading rural green belt around Colchester for quick fixes and dormitory living. And I dread to think how the creaking rail link to London would cope! It's a joke as it is with filthy stock and continual delays.

There is not enough thought or planning going into the project. Just a huge rush to build new housing and for people to "get rich quick".

we dont have the road structure here in Marks Tey to handle further housing development . We moved here because of its location next to agricultural land and some lovely countryside. The A120 is a nightmare both in pollution and noise at present , including A12 traffic problems and diverted traffic on occasions , further development will exacerbate an already severe bottle neck.

Very against the proposal to turn Marks Tey into a bloated town. The local infrastructure cannot handle such a massive increase in homes. The trains, A12 and A120 will not cope with increased traffic. I enjoy living in a small community surrounded by countryside and this proposal will ruin this. We will become just another squashed community of bland new houses and flats.

It will totally destroy what is left of this rural area, plus current road structure cannot cope with current use.

I despair at the lack of thought that has gone into this project by the Government departments. Full trains, congested roads already. No plans presented to show how it will all work smoothly. No plans for Doctors Surgeries, Schools - the Government are already trying to move some of the important departments away from Colchester General Hospital and yet they want to bring many many more people to the area that is crazy and they call it long term planning........They couldn`t plan a day out !!

A complete lack of planning and understanding of this area. The infrastructure is not here and by the sounds of it it will never be. A completely ridiculous idea.
