The infrastructure is inadequate and the development ridiculous in its proportions. There are not enough road/rail links as us without thousands of new homes being developed to compound our already overstretched resources.

A rural area like Copford will never cope with this many houses. The already busy roads will become completely packed. The strong community feel of the village will be lost!!!

The roads, schools, doctor surgeries and infrastructure won't cope with 20,000 extra houses! These fields flood badly anyway. This will completely change my outlook from my home. It will go from a quiet country village to small town!

This scale of development makes no sense given the (lack of) local infrastructure. We need green areas on the outskirts of Colchester and homes should be built nearer the town centre with decent cycle and bus facilities to reduce traffic

12 years ago we moved to the local area from Romford, to give our children the chance to grow up in a rural, safe area, with all that the local countryside has to offer ; building 20,000 new homes to attract commuters from London will irreversibly destroy yet another part of East anglia until we too become another borough of London !
