This is ridiculous being so close to colchester. If they do this they may aswell merge marks Tey, Copford and colchester together

This is a ridiculous proposal for so many reasons, one of the main being the roads.
The A12 and A120 can not cope now with the current level of traffic let alone with a potential 80,000 more people living in the area.
We can not let this happen

This is the wrong proposal for the wrong area. The existing infrastructure (roads, trains, hospitals, schools to name a few examples) is completely saturated as it is and can not support such a significant increased population.

Shocked to hear about this proposed , massive development .
Trust this petition will receive unanimous support from local residents !

The road systems cannot cope with the amount of traffic now, so to build more housing in the area would make the traffic jams far worse.

Has anyone driven along the a120 lately? The local amenities are not updated enough to take this development. Has anyone looked at old unused airfields for development or do the developers see that as deductions of profit as that is what its all about for them!

Local schools, hospitals, dentists etc cannot cope with the amount of people in this area as it is. Until we have the facilities in place to look after the families we have, there is no way permission should be given to this number of new homes. Don't over-strain already over-strained services.

further development yes, but not on this massive scale - the infrastructure won't take it and where will they all go to school/hospital?

This area just cannot maintain more development. The roads are completely congested at practically all times, and local amenities are over stretched.
Ridiculous!!
