Until the A120 is upgraded it is impossible to even consider any new properties in that area. Every day there are traffic reports concerning the queues on that section of the A120. There is so much housing development in the Colchester area at present but little in the way of a new hospital to ease the overload or new schools to cater for the additional children. Marks Tey station car park is already too small to cater for the number of commuters. A proposal that obviously has not been thought through regarding the residents in that area or for the good of Colchester.

Can someone inform parliament that East Anglia is still the poor relation in terms of infrastructure. They normally moan like hell in the North, but at least they have major road and rail networks. You ever tried cycling, walking, motoring or public transport (If it exists!) on a winter morning in our neck of the woods?

I feel that we cannot lose any more countryside and this urban sprall would overwhelm any services: medical/transport, etc, and seems to look only at the monetary profit.

Colchester is expanding faster than any other town in the UK and there is no need for this Marks Tey development. Equally the planners are doing nothing about the local roads; the A12 and the A120. Also the railway is at capacity - neither it, nor we can take any more. It is a disgrace of planning.

I am a local beekeeper my hives would not continue to survive in this amount of development. The amount of forage from field crops that sustain my bees and the pollination of crops would be lost forever. This proposed development would seriously impact local wildlife and the natural world that is left in this already shrinking environment.

Why are we not building on BROWN FIELD SITES? Where will we grow our food in years to come when there will be a food shortage. Look how numbers of people have grown in this country. If this goes ahead how will the 10,000 or more people from their homes, in their cars get up and down the A120?
