We just put a sheetz gas station that causes much more traffic than before. We also just put in an Aldies not even 5 minutes away. Along with another Walmart not even 10 minutes away. They say this is a market Walmart, yet has a gas station and will hurt the business of Half-Way market right down the road. Neighborboods are suppose to be quiet and peaceful places for homes. Not to be stuck between businesses.
There will also be a meeting held sometime in March for this issue. Hope to see many of you there fighting this!

The feedback I have received from residents confirms that our concerns regarding traffic congestion and the preservation of our neighborhood character are shared by many. I am currently reaching out to local planning officials to ensure they understand the scale of opposition regarding this proposed development.

Teays Valley Road is enough of a nightmare as it is considering half the town goes 15 below the speed limit. We don't need anything making it worse.
100% unnecessary. Teays Valley Road has enough traffic and adding a mega store will just take away from small business and add congestion to an already busy part of town! Try Winfield Walmart
ANOTHER WALMART IS NOT NEEDED IN THIS AREA. THE LOCATION IS ALREADY CONGESTED AND I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW MUCH WORSE IT WILL MAKE TEAYS VALLEY ROAD. WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER GAS STATION - THERE IS A SHEETZ & SPEEDWAY IN VERY CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THIS SITE. BUILD THIS IN AN AREA THAT NEEDS A GROCERY STORE!! IT IS NOT NEEDED HERE.

i live in Fox Run Subdivision...I have trouble exiting onto Teays Valley already. The smart businesses will suffer and have to close. We'll have to say goodbye to The Halfway Market a business that has been here in the valley for 25 years, the new mest store on the valley road will have to close and the newest Script Pharmacy will close also. I do NOT or NEED a gas station in my back yard! Not Happy
This is just another over priced, wanna be upscale grocery store...Kroger ' s is cheaper and better accessible. Thus would cause so much congestion in the center of the valley. Just Ridiculous.
Forget Teays Valley & focus on towns that need it such as Winfield or Eleanor WV.

I worry that it will run small businesses like halfway market out of business. I don't think we have any shortage of food stores, gas stations, or pharmacies in Hurricane.
