Stop the Cuts Save our pool! Join us in our fight to save the Afan Valley. Let's protect the Children of today and give them a better tomorrow. The closure of our pool will have a detrimental effect on our community. There has been a swimming pool in this Valley since 1938. Let's stand together , stand strong and fight for what we deserve !
all of the schools use this pool in the Afan Valley. People do not realise the difficulty in using public transport to go to Port Talbot or Neath. It costs too much and takes over an hour to get there. Please don't close our pool.

My cousin was one of four boys who drowned off Aberavon in 1932, there is a large memorial to them just inside Cymmer cemetery. Children need to learn to swim and to take away this facility is not just cruel it is downright dangerous.

Port Talbot communities have little leisure facilities as it is - closing another focal point increases obesity in local community and as this is the only community pool in port talbot at this moment in time the wider community is affected.

I currently use the Cymmer Pool as it is the only public swimming pool that is close by & happy to take my children too as the facilities are always clean & the staff are polite. I could travel to Neath, which is a similar distance from my home, but have never been impressed by the standards

why are you taking everything away from us, most of the people got to travel for work commitments as it is and now your trying to make us travel even further for our leisure facilities... Spend the money you got for the afon Lido on saving all the valley facilities, port talbot have managed this long without their pool...
