I have been staring at the canal banks all morning and it is just impossible to imagine the shade gone because those trees are the only reason the path is even tolerable in this heat. Someone from the planning department finally sent a generic email back but they dodged every single question I asked about the actual impact study so we just have to keep pestering them until they realize we are actually watching.

I really thought this might just disappear into the void but looking at how many people actually care about these trees honestly blew my mind today. It is wild to see so many people jump in on this so quickly because I honestly just started this out of pure frustration while staring at the canal in my backyard.

The wildlife needs those trees. Where are the birds and squirrels supposed to go? Please rethink this plan.
Those trees have been there for years! Why ruin the shade and the look of the whole neighborhood just to clear some grass. Leave them alone.
