Stop the use of Biosolids in Jackson County, Al

I live on County Road 91 near highway 117 and the smell from the use of biosolid fertilizer is atrocious! You can’t stand to be outside. This stuff should be illegal to use around humans.

Check your local co-op fact sheet on the filler material in petrochemical fertilizer, say 19-19-19, compare that arsenic concentration to biosolids. You'll only have one test per year to go by, in comparison to a twice daily results available in wastewater testing, conducted by certified operators. Sen. Livingston, Where can I find a link to the bill for referendum vote proposed to ban biosolids please. I wanted to follow the story as an interested citizen. Chattanooga's biosolids were some of the highest quality in the nation being NBP (National Biosolids Partnership) platinum certification and independent third party audit verified yearly. Chattanooga is no longer participating in the program,but has many checks and balances to my knowledge for quality including regulations set by the EPA and the more stringent TDEC requirements for metals and pathogens. www.chattanooga.gov/biosolids www.chattanooga.gov/treatment If you read it says that the pH of the biosolids is 12.5 minimum when it leaves the treatment plant and that it has been doing a lot of good to bring former strip mine acidic runoff back to a neutral 7.0 pH allowing aquatic life to return to those streams and allowing previously fallow fields to support hay and eventually row crops. Biosolids are free to the farmers and those farmers save about $10,000 per 100ac. in petrochemical fertilizer cost. Industrial preatreatment assures that industries do not discharge any hazardous chemicals into the wastewater, because the wastewater treatment process counts on biological microbiology to treat the waste, the bugs themself are an indicator if anything toxic is passing into the treatment plant.

I tried 2 years ago to try and stop this in Steveson AL in rash on county road 53 but WITH NO avail. It was horriable.

No we sure don't want there waste.
