The council finally scrapped the plans to tear down the Sun Centre. Seeing so many people fight for this piece of our history proved that our memories still carry weight. We won this battle for our town but please stay alert to ensure they keep their word.

Have you or your family ever visited The Sun Centre, Rhyl? I'm sure only a minority will answer no! This place has become a part of heritage and was once a place of fun! A place to which we have not only taken our children but our children's, children. Standing alone we only have one voice, however if we make a stand together we can hopefully then be heard! The public tax payers should have a say in the future of The Sun Centre! Please help save yet another place set for demolition from our ever diminishing landmarks! Every signature counts thank you!

The sun centre has made thousands of memories for familys from Rhyl and throughout the uk for many years. Now the council have decided to demolish it and not think about how this will impact on a town that needs tourism to survive. They have already got rid of the fun fair and forced small businesses to go bust. They now have plans to build low cost hotels which when then force the smaller hotels and b&bs to close. Let's make a stand and bring Rhyl back to how it was years ago

I have been reading your stories about the summers spent at the Sun Centre and it breaks my heart to think of those memories being bulldozed. The council needs to realize that they are erasing our town legacy for the sake of a few hotels that nobody asked for.

My own childhood memories are tied to these walls and seeing the signatures grow reminds me that I am not fighting alone. We are getting very near to our next milestone so please put this link in front of your neighbors today. We must show the council that this town refuses to watch its history be erased.

I believe that saving the Sun Centre is the right way to go, council saying 'it will cost millions and millions to bring up to date' well my argument is, it is going to cost 'millions and millions' to build a new centre and equip it - where is the difference ?

This was the best thing to happen to rhyl on 30 years. Do not demolish this iconic place. Refurbished it and offer discounts to locals as it was locals who went every night but it became to expensive as everything does. Think about the locals

Save this icon of old happy sunny Rhyl we should not distroy all the happy memories we have. The pavilion went which was such a shame Denbighshire council should spend some money and restore the sun centre.

Revamp the sun centre and re open there's already lots of shops and businesses closing down or on the verge with the sun centre back open will bring more people more shops will be back in business and get rhyl bustling like it used to be

This place should be re open. Cheaper prices would make it more affordable to the ppl using the holiday parks. It would bring jobs to the area n the ppl coming to use it would use local amenities like shops n cafes
