Speed bumps by themselves won't do . They are a problem for EMT, FIRE TRUCKS AND OTHER EMERGENCY VEHICLES. How about common sense...

Oneonta, between Creswell and Line, is terrible. Many children playing on this block, too.

11/12/17 I was struck my a drunk driver while I was walking on Madison Drive in South Highland. My the grace of God I survived my multiple injuries, however the accident did affect my physical health. I live on the corner of Wheeless and Atkins and I observe frequently people not stoping at the stop sign and speeding in the neighborhood. I find myself thinking about Mr. Self and my accident.

I grew up there and know that the street is wide which subconsciously encourages speeding. Modern traffic calming measures would make Creswell safer as a complete street for walking, cycling and driving. It’s a national hashtag. #SlowTheCars

Mr Self's wife Dorothy, who does not use the Neighborhood network, told me late last night that, "(she)...supports speed bumps on Creswell..also Highland.." I agree. This makes her an additional signer on this petition = 2 for this message.

Speed bumps or dips will slow traffic and deter speeders.

I agree - my street is near Ockely and Southern Ave. The cars speed down Ockley. There is pedestrian traffic on Ockley, mainly young children walking back home from Betty Virginia Park. It’s a miracle that no child has been hit.

I live on the 500 block of Elmwood, between Creswell and Highland. I love to jog and take my 5 month old son on stroller rides. The speeding on these streets is very unsafe and cause for concern.

Residential neighborhoods with parking on both sides of the street are not appropriate places to go 35+ mph.
