I played soccer here as a child and teenager. I can’t imagine not having that opportunity and it really helped shape who I am today. I hope other children can still get this experience.

Enough of the devaluing of our city through the mass manufacturing of apartments.

Royal Oak middle school is a great school and the field has multiple uses for school activity and AYSO soccer games on the weekend and weekday practices. Building apartments will take that away from the community.

I loved this school and getting to enjoy all of that beautiful green space don’t destroy that for future generations

I loved this school. So many great memories here. So many firsts in life here. I would hate to see it gone especially with my nephew being able to attend soon.

We need this field space for sports. My kids grew up playing AYSO on the ROM fields. Were will the next generation play? Why not make into park and preserve sports fields. Use excess school buildings for teen center and library.

This is wrong. I went to school here, the fields at royal oak were the best part. PE was always a great experience for everyone and the after school activities brought a lot of us close together and those friendships have lasted since. We graduated from Charter Oak in 2010 and still a lot of us keep in contact and honestly the foundation to these relationships were all made here playing basketball , playing flag football , kick ball at PE, even running the mile for PE was a fun competetion.
