Absolutely not!! To destroy a wall and remove trees that have been part of this village for generations to tick boxes to gain councillors votes…. Disgusting behaviour, and no one wants a village full of Lycra wearing idiots who won’t even use a cycle lane but will insist on cycling on the road anyway.

Do not place a cycle lane, cycle lanes district traffic and cause chaos, cyclists are ignorant and rude and do not follow rules as they should, removing trees and green scapes next to our roads as a frequent driver of said road makes the place look less appealing

Im a cyclist, but this makes no sense, ripping up trees, removing greenery, an already heavily congested road, will only add to further frustration for all parties.
Typical Newcastle Council zero foresight into the surrounding infrastructure, the cycle route through Pendower, Benwell and Ekswick is a nightmare with zero parking control. Ill guarentee the same issues will arise here.

Absolutely ridiculous! Not needed at all, and why damage and remove healthy tree’s. The bike lanes will barely be used. The bus lane there is a joke aswell.
