With climate change, trees have proved they keep areas cooler. I see no logic in cutting down trees for a cycle lane. It seems to oppose a green philosophy. It also does not help birds or insects. I always admire streets with trees. They make areas so pleasant. It is just adding to the concrete jungle we already live in!

The trees should be protected. We don’t need a cycle lane. Many cycle lanes are not used anyway and the trees will be lost for ever.

We need the trees , they help to keep the environment healthy and add to the beauty of the village. These cycle lanes are rarely used in my opinion and a waste of money. Please don’t sacrifice trees which have been established for decades and centuries thus wu ruin the look of Westerhope
