Stop the proposed cycle lane on Stamfordham road

Road is already too congested without adding extended roadworks whilst constructing these useless lanes

Congestion traffic going through Westerhope is horrendous and this will make it worse

There is absolutely no need to install a cycle lane through Westerhope.

This is a disgrace to chop trees for a cycle lane that will not be used. They got put in benwell and its so dangours. This shouldn't happen

Unnecessary in my opinion. Already bottle necked with unused bus lanes of minimal length

Trees are needed more than a cycle lane for people that don’t have insurance or pay road tax.

This absolutely cannot happen!!! Over 40 trees will be lost for the sake of people that can just ride on the path on their bikes, and likely will anyways.

We do not need a cycling lane in Westerhope, we do not need weeks of traffic mayhem for a minority of cyclists that may chose to use it. The money would be better spent upgrading the roads and paths instead of patching them, traffic calming near the many schools we have.

Absolutely shocking taking down trees for cycle lane what about the pollution the trees help bring down pollution for the environment and people living along the road

This will ruin the landscape of the area. Driving through is lovely with the trees without them it will look absolutely awful
