Because trees are important in providing decent air & cyclists tend to think they have the right of way everywhere .

I this day and age of increasing heatwaves the shade from the trees offer a relief from the heat. It's proven that an avenue of trees can drop the temperature of a street by several degrees and here we have the useless council trying to destroy them, we will remember next election the names of the councillors who have voted to destroy them.

We need to keep all the trees we can.
Unnecessary and expensive work that is a drain on the already stretched funds.

We need more green space not more cycle lanes they don’t get used and the trees are good for wild life and shade.

This is a village with beautiful Ancient Trees. And brickwork Memorial seats in honour of fallen soldiers . I certainly don’t want the heart ripped out of my village to make way for concrete cycling path.

We need as much tree life in this area as possible. It is sacrilege to cut down trees.
Plus a cycle lane will not be used through that area, it will cause more chaos!

There is no need for a cycle lane, also don’t see enough bikes to warrant a cycle lane through the village and a complete waste of money and we quite like the trees as you drive through and it will cause absolute chaos with traffic which is already busy, I think they should concentrate on looking at making the roads better with the increase of traffic
The cycle path is not needed
