Ripping out oxygen giving trees for cycle lanes is ridiculous.

This part of Stamfordham Rd is hazardous and congested enough without a cycle lane which will never be used by cyclists. The destruction of these beautiful trees is an environmental disaster. We have very little greenery around this area as it is. What happened to the Councils tree strategy!

This road is often congested without any more restrictions for cars, especially with all the new houses in the area.

I am signing because this LA is obsessed building cycle lanes that no hardly uses and still ride on the Main Roads anyway and driver get done if they drive to close to them , so lets build more cycle lanes as the Council is awash with money pity they can't mend the potholes .

Because mature trees need to be protected. The world is decimating woodland and forests. Every trees counts. Planting a sapling in its place is not a sufficient replacement for a mature trees loss.

Enough is enough these cycle lanes are rarely used, try building the link road that was previously promised

The only cyclists I ever encounter are the unlicensed and illegal bikes and scooters that the kids drive around on. Leave the roads alone!

Cyclists using Stamfordham road between Callerton village and The Jingling Gate public house still regularly cycle on the road , sometimes two abreast.
Even though there is a new cycle path all the way . This happened today causing a tail back of vehicles trying to overtake at a safe distance hindered by on coming traffic. How many cyclists would still cycle on the busy road rather than a new purposely provided cycle lane?

Absolute waste of tax payers funds. The road is already chaotic, a cycle lane will make it even worse for commuters.

Removing the remaining green around our city is simply unacceptable. It is vandalism and dead against any environmental goals

Leave trees alone, they provide clean air to breathe, much needed in Westerhope.

Absolute scandal. Why fit a cycle lane so all of the balaclava clad wrongins can use it for their drug runs on their surrons. Whilst also ripping out all of these trees that have been here since day dot.
