Chopping down mature trees to replace with a tarmac cycle lane is a ridiculous idea - Westerhope village is already overrun with traffic thanks to all the new builds in and around the area - leave our trees and green spaces alone

The environment is under enough strain as it is without removing mature trees that work to help the environment. Surely there is another route that would be less harmful with less impact on road infrastructure and environment
