They’re beautiful and would change the whole look of the area, too many trees being cut down it needs to stop

Total waste of tax payers money, I use this stretch of road daily, hardly see any cyclists using it. It will encourage e-bikes/scooters to use it! What about using the money to repair potholes??

The trees are far more important in the wider scheme, better for the environment, better asthetically. As a cyclist myself this stretch of road causes very little issue for cyclist. Considering the cost of this project, monies could be far better directed at more crucial sectors..

I don't live in the area. However, I do drive through quite often. It would be a travesty to remove them. Apart from being beautiful, they help with pollution, they absorb a percentage of emissions. Plus, putting a cycle lane in does not mean it will be used, and used correctly either. Its not mandatory to use them, so cyclists end up on the road anyway. Leave the trees alone.

We need mature trees not cycle tracks which hardly anyone uses. NTC has many prime examples of unused cycle lanes, so I have seen first-hand the folly of this in extra road congestion.

The roads are already too busy and a cycle lane is not necessary at this time, wait until other access roads are in place for the new houses.

Destroying mature trees in this way is sheer vandalism, at a time we should be doing everything to preserve nature.

Crazy idea leave the trees alone 😔. It will never get used. Just look at the rvi cycle lane. Disruption for months to put it in, hardly gets used.

We don't have enough trees in the area and need to retain what we have. Removing them for a cycleway which no one will use is an act of Civic vandalism.

I live in Windsor Crescent and over the last couple of years the traffic on Stamfordham Road is beyond ridiculous bus lanes that don’t need to be there.Traffic lights that are just causing accidents.Planners need to give themselves a good talking to
