Will the cycle lane be as long as the bus lane before Mc Donald’s roundabout? I don’t know who comes up with these crazy ideas but I bet you’ve never tried to get to work through westerhope village

Are we not all supposed to be saving the wildlife and helping the environment with purer air ,it will make the area look more dirtier than it already is,cyclists already drive all over paths ,this will make way for worse behaviour from them..

Trees are beautiful. The cycle kane will be short, so why ruin the gorgeous village for so few users

Westerhope is a VILLAGE! We’re already losing so much greenery with the housing. Cycle lane will just encourage more antisocial cycling, especially e-bikes & scooters. What’s going to happen when a cyclist hits a pedestrian at speed because the traffic is at a standstill and they think it’s safe to cross at the islands?

No need for cycle lane. "Improved traffic management" should have been addressed before massive building.

This cannot happen...too much of nature including green belts will be reduced to zero...who wants a concrete jungle?

Waste of money and cutting down a single tree to pave the way for a cycle lane that only be used once in a blue moon

Ridiculous loss of greenery and natural environment for the ideological folly that is thinking that communities want and will use more cycleways. Look at the low level take up and use of cycleways across the city and stop and think why be destructive and waste money building more. Our city planners belong more in a circus than civic centre….

We should be conserving trees in this Climate emergency. Also there is already enough road congestion in the area without making it worse

Thousands of drivers will suffer delays each day for the sake of a dozen cyclists.
Use the money on something worthwhile.
