I am a cyclist but destroying trees and the whole character of the area is an appalling idea. There is no problem cycling along there as it is. the number of cyclists who will use a cycle lane is very small compared with the number of people who enjoy the trees as they are

I grew up in westerhope and the trees are part of the village. Also with global warming, we need these old trees! They are nesting environments for wildlife and it’s a disgraceful for them to be cut down. There is no need for a cycle lane!!!!!!
