Is a cycle lane really neccessary? We regularly walk along the coast path from Tynemouth where a cycle lane has been installed,very rarely do you see an actual cyclist using it.....more often people walking along it.Caused so much disruption having it built too. We need to protect the small areas of green we have left. I have a feeling it will become a speedway for electric bikes and scooters.
