Recently many wildfires occured around Britain, it is absurd to cut down trees after the devastation that has already occured to Britains greenary.

In a time where more and more green areas are being destroyed due to extra housing, the last thing we need is to remove trees and wildlife in order to add a cycle path. A cycle path that many people in the area to not wish to have. Furthermore, the act of removing these trees will disrupt the road that already faces heavy strain due to the amount of cars on it.

A waste of money for the number of cyclists using this road. That money could be used to improve policing and support for our vulnerable residents. Plus the impact to the environment is too high. Let us keep our trees before our village looks like a car park.

I'm signing this petition because, as many people have already mentioned, the trees are very important for the control of CO² from the excessive traffic that runs through (you know, the carbon footprint that Ed Milliband was so hell bent on reducing)... Beautiful trees and birds or bicycles. Why spoil the environment for a few bicycles. It really doesn't make sense !
