Apologies if this is something that is being considered / done.
The Campaign for Real Ale ( CAMRA ) are able to provide first hand advice about the steps / how to save a pub.
Details can be found on their website.
The first step is to get the pub listed as an “ Asset of Communty Value - ACV “
With the local council.
This allows breathing space and stops the brewery from selling the pub for housing etc whilst the AVC is in place.

This is a most important hub of the village, and closure will be a great loss to the village

As a previous landlord of the Derby Arms (1990-1999) I wholeheartedly support the petition to keep the pub open

We live in London and every time we come up to the area to visit family we stay at the Derby Arms. It is certainly the hub of the village, and has a much better atmosphere and openness to “non locals” than the General Burgoyne

If it's a community asset purchase it as a community. Getting rid of Robinsons can be an opportunity, not a disaster. How much do they want for it?

This is a lovely village pub hub of the community a true hostelry not a pub restaurant. It will be a travesty if it does not remain open.

This pub is a vital part of the community and has held some amazing events over the years to help fund village amenities. It must stay open.

Lovely place with very warm welcoming feel to it thanks to the landlord. Have stayed in the b&b a couple of times as has friends and family at our recommendation. Much better atmosphere than the Burgoyne. Shame they can’t exist alongside each other.

One of my favourite pubs in the whole of Cumbria. Everything a country pub should be and more.
Surely there has to be a way to keep this jewel of a pub open ?

Lovely pub and community hub - also big part of the local road cycling scene. Please, Robinsons, work harder to find a new tenant — or perhaps the community could fundraise and buy you out?

Far to many pubs are closing and becoming houses .Check how many Hartleys now Robinsons it is or has happened to.At the end of the day if locals don't support their local pub it will go under and it's no good complaining after the event .Stop it now
