Stop the New Housing Development on Salem Church Road

Help to save a field and woods from development in Hampden Township. This land is being destroyed to create a new housing development. This development will destroy habitats and displace animals (at best). Habit fragmentation has harmed many animals, especially deer. The loss of the woods would contribute to the issues of deforestation and climate change. Due to there one being one road in and out of the development there would be a heavy increase in traffic on Salem Church Road and the Carlisle Pike. Losing the field would remove one of Hampden Township's last remaining fields that is still being farmed. The development could also potentially lower surrounding property values, which then begs the question, do the benefits really outweigh all the costs? And due to humans's inate love of nature, at some level the development would take the home out of home, leaving nothing more than just a house for many surrounding properties and people. Join us in fighting back against yet another development project in Hampden Township.
