Honestly don’t know how it’s legal for these cops to stop random motorcyclist for absolutely nothing. Setting up traps on the highways n jumping in the street guns drawn at times n removing keys from peoples vehicles when they haven’t committed any crime and haven’t broken any traffic laws. Smh

If NYC wants to lead the country in best transportation alternatives, then they should support bikers on 2 wheels, NOT harass them! The city is using very expensive resources to attack a population of riders that for the most part, take the time to learn a difficult skill, and get additional training, than those on 4 wheels. We need to educate drivers to share the road, stop texting and drunk/ distracted driving, teach ALL drivers about lane sharing and filtering, create safer road conditions for all vehicles and encourage 2 wheel vehicles to help the environment, as well as community strengthening (through riding events). Bike life is not a real crime !! Instead of worrying so much about riders cops should put that same energy out and find the rapist and pedophiles that walk the streets! Or worry about finding out how to stop heron overdose deaths in Staten Island ! Young kids are dying everyday from that drug but yet cops worry about setting up illegal motorcycle check points instead of finding out who sells this deadly drug to such young kids. Cops rather see people kill each other rather then see all different races & ethnecitys come together and just ride ! When the bikes come out it brings everyone together ! GIVE US A PARKING LOT TO RIDE IN !!!!

Stop the harassment of motorcyclists and stop taking motorcycle which are private property over minor offenses

This is no different then Stop and Frisk just with motorcycle. Motorcycle checkpoints are illegal!

If you think a lane split is bad, wht about the cars that continue to text & drive that put us at a higher risk.

This is a clear, money-grab, profiling hack NYC has come up with and it needs to stop.
