The mile in physical education isn't for the better in some cases. Kids feel judged, sick, and not well about themselves. If the mile is so important, why aren't kids feeling good about it? Why do they feel nervous about doing it and don't want to? Why do they beat themselves up over it? Why do we have to do it? Why is it required?
The momentum behind this is undeniable. It proves so many students share this experience.

i, along with others in my gym class get judged for our high mile times. it has nothing to do with your weight, rather your ability to run and keep up endurance. it's difficult for so many.
