The Michigan Legislature is proposing to raise $1.04 billion dollars in new taxes and fees to repair our crumbling roads by doing the following:
1. Remove the $0.19 gas tax at the pump but add it to the wholesale sale of gas at $0.283. A 67% increase
2. Increase vehicle registration fees by 67% which is based on the value of your car.
3. Commercial Truck registrations fees based on there weight will increase 25%.
4. Remove the deprecation of a vehicle for the first 5 years.
5. Take $100 million or more from the sales tax at the pump from schools and put it into roads.
Tell Michigan Legislators that enough is enough and we can't pay any more!
Gas prices are too already too high these days. If the governor really wants to fix the roads then he and everyone in the state senate should all take a pay cut. They already have enough money, they should use it to do their job.

Another tax on top of some of the highest gas taxes in the country? How about we cut some government jobs instead? This is insane! I want my state and my country back.
