Drive Gas Prices Even Higher
The last thing Californians need is gas at $6 or more per gallon. That’s absurd.
Bureaucrats at the California Air Resources Board (CARB) are promoting a plan to make gas prices even higher with a new, multibillion dollar energy tax added to California’s “cap and trade" program and calling it an "auction." This proposal could mean $30 billion in new taxes without a vote of the people OR a 2/3's vote of the Legislature.
This new energy tax will ultimately be paid for by consumers and families through higher prices at the gas pump, on our utility bills and for every day products and services we use.
The Legislature can stop this.
We all want cleaner air, but a new tax won’t help. It will only place more burdens on small businesses and California consumers.
Sign this petition today, telling the Legislature that you OPPOSE the multibillion dollar energy tax.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have stepped up to oppose this tax. Since we are approaching our next milestone, please pass this along to whoever else might be feeling the pinch at the pump.

This is just another example when you have a "tax and spend" one-party State legislature. Vote out the control freak Democrats to effect a real change in the Golden State - that includes Governor moonbeam.
Gas is already high price. raising tax is harder to afford. fixed income already struggling for the high cost of living.
STOP THE STEAL. CA is already way too expensive to live in.
Enough with the taxes already. I drive 40 miles just to get to work and I cant afford another hike at the pump.
CARB is totally out of control. they are destroying the middle class with these hidden taxes that nobody even voted for.
this is theft and needs to stop.

You've been lying for YEARS and wasting money intended for road maintenance. Stop now or face the consequence.
