It is imperative that we make our county commissioners aware of our dissatisfaction with the level of development in, on and around Hwy 30-A.

Not good for this area. Where are people supposed to park? This is not what a Scenic Hwy. should look like. Protect Hwy. 30A corridor.

I recently moved from Nashville to Santa Rosa Beach, and love my home in Gulf Place. Some of the reasons I chose SRB was the beauty of 30-A, it's controlled commercialization, and the feel of a small town once the height of tourist season is over. The area of Nashville which I left was once a very desirable place to live. But developers have had their way with the area, and traffic makes it impossible to get to my home from any direction without taking back roads. As I write this, a new 16-story mixed use building is being constructed at the second busiest intersection in the Green Hills community. The developer has even gone back to the planning commission for approval of an additional floor. The push back from the community has come too late to make a difference in my old neighborhood. Without a balance between development and residents' quality of life, real estate becomes less desirable, which is what attracted developers in the first place.

All building should cease until infrastructure and safety are addressed on 30A and a smart growth plan is created/implemented. Approving more building without a plan represents a total disregard for those that live here, those that visit and the beauty of 3OA.

It is time to get our infrastructure issues under control. It is time to modify our planning requirements to address the future rather than the past. It is NOT time to blindly approve flawed projects that will contribute to our existing problems.

We need to slow the high density development until our county's infrastructure catches up. You cannot add more and more development and never think about the roads, drainage, added traffic, parking, etc. Please, let's get some effective PLANNING in this county before more development. Thank you.

We moved down to Cypress Breeze Plantation, a few blocks from Gulf Place in April of 2014. We moved here from Chicago because of the reputation of the 30a community, and the shared interest in preserving it's identity. In the short time we've been here, we've seen commercial and residential growth far exceeding the area's ability to handle the infrastructure and resource needs that come along with it. The gap between the two is growing at an exponential pace. It's simply not sustainable. A hotel is the complete inverse of what this area needs. There's no parking, too much traffic, and not enough public works coverage as it is. At this rate we're 10 years from being Destin 2.0....

Quit selling this once great place to live- is almost ruined already- I have lived here 34 years--, if you commissioners had an ounce of character you should be ashamed of yourselves! Money grubbers!

Please protect this delicate land and coastline- we can not allow the same thing to happen here that has happened along almost every other coastal gulf town. The decisions we make today alter the future of many generations; should such decision be for wealth and monetary gain? I know it will create jobs, however the employees that do work on 30-a in guest services can NOT afford to live nearby causing a lack of employee hiring pool. I am a local business manager and face employees shortages a lot. Please keep the beaches and coastlines and commutnies along 30-a prestine and healthy.

The over crowding must stop. There is no infrastructure to accommodate the continued building.
