Please do not build a high occupancy hotel on Scenic 30-A. The beaches of Destin and Panama City are already crowded, and the beautiful Scenic 30-A will succumb to this as well. Please keep these beaches family friendly and less crowded.

I grew up going to Destin before the developers ruined it. Don't ruin the remaining beaches in the area!

I am against the 40 unit condo and 50 hotel being built at Gulf Place. We pay $600 per month just for association fees to pay for our pools, parking lots, maintenance, etc. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!!

I have no idea why anyone would build a condo/hotel complex and then expect owners of Gulf Place Cabanas and Caribbean to let those owners use our facilities for FREE? We pay $600 per month just for association fees to pay for our pools, parking lots, maintenance, etc. Now why would we want transient motel guests at Lagoon Manor to come use our amenities? Why would I want to continue to own my unit at Gulf Place and pay taxes to essentially donate my hard-earned money that I pay in association fees so that transient motel guests can come use Gulf Place amenities at will???
The Walton County Commissioners have an opportunity to set a precedent here as well to say that Gulf Place and 30 a will not be overdeveloped and go the way of Panama City Beach or Destin. Keep 30 a special, local and environmentally responsible. Added development is not needed at 30a and 393.

These developers will build, sell and profit while we loose. Who will buy a box with beds and no amenities? Hampton Inn? Holiday Inn, Best Western? Were it truly a boutique hotel, small in scale with lots of amenities the site would be suitable. And add to this a huge condo complex without even a pool. We are told they will use the Gulf Place pools and amenities which are already at maximum capacity. Imagine the crowds at Ed Walline? How will local residents ever make it to the beach. Cars will be parked up and down the road making that intersection a lot more dangerous for pedestrians as they try to cross with tons of traffic.
Walton County has done a remarkable job when it comes to "smart growth" and wise development. That's why people want to come here and buy homes here. Let's keep it that way.

It would be a terrible travesty to build a hotel in the Gulf Place Community. I oppose ruining the beauty of 30A.

This issue is the most important problem we have here on 30A... The people who approve these types of developments must never drive on 30A...

We do not need any more hotels on beautiful Scenic 30-A - this is getting out of hand. Inlet Beach is currently being overrun with development (a hotel) and "mega-mansions" that don't fit in our previously quiet little community. All the natural vegetation is being destroyed. It's a travesty.

I am totally opposed to this development, Gulf Place is a small community and this motel will bring more than 100 cars and 200 more people.. there is no way Gulf place can absorb this amount of traffic or people.. Also we have major flooding with just a strong rain, adding this amount of development will only flood our development more.. Someone (commissioners) use some common sense and say NO
