My wife and I are not anti-development but this proposal for a high density structure does not make any sense. The traffic will get even worse and the area will turn into a quagmire. This proposal must not pass.

This proposal is totally absurd. The 2 roads can't handle this degree of increase in traffic. Plus, please remember the flooding of spring 2014 when nobody could get in or out for a few days. This is not the kind of place that lends itself to high density development.

As a property owner for over 10 years, I have witnessed the constant and continued increase in the number of people, as well as traffic. At an intersection where only a few years ago were hardly any cars, now exists frequent congestion due to a moderate increase in the number of cars coming from other areas. With this, the noise level has also increased. So has the amount of trash in the area.
There is already a shortage of parking and beach access. How is a much larger increase in population and cars not effect this area drastically for the worse??
We don't need another Watercolor and Seaside type problem in SRB as well!

We have been coming down to the Dune Allen area for many years. Five years ago we bought a home in the area because of the wonderful quiet family atmosphere in Dune Allen. Recently we purchased a lot in Gulf Place. I am very concerned about the possibility of a Gulf Place hotel. Over these last few years, I have watched the intersection at
Hwy 30 A and Hwy 393 become busier and busier. The traffic is heavy and it is a noisy spot with cars stopping and starting . The beach access at this corner has become an unbelievably crazy place with cars parking up and down the street illegally. There is already a condo located at this access. This area cannot handle another condo .It will destroy what has been a special place for so many years. I humbly ask that this proposal be removed from the table. The neighbors of Dune Allen beach do not want this area to become another Seaside with bumper to bumper traffic.

As a property owner in the area for over 10 years now, I have seen how the area and beaches that we loved has become so much more crowded and congested. It needs to stop and slow down, we don't need more development or we will be Destin.

There is not enough infrastructure to support the added development. Parking and beach access is already a big problem. Continued over development will take away from the nature of 30A

When is enough, enough.. we are very much opposed to anymore rentals on 30A . Between the bikes & over load of cars us as residents don't seem to have any rights. Greed seems to take over!!!!

Why don't the Walton County Commissioners wait for the South Walton feasibility study to come out and see what direction South Walton wants to go in??? I think no more approvals for building in Walton until storm water drainage issues are fixed...

This is so upsetting to hear about. We must stop this development from moving forward in its present form. I am not opposed to development.....but my husband and I ARE opposed too this kind of development which is contrary to all that makes 30-A and Gulf Place in particular so special. Who are the council people or governmental officials that are making the decision. We need to personally contact them and help them to realize the error of this type of development.
