VOTE NO! We own a small home in a little neighborhood just north of Gulf Place on Hwy 393. The 30A area has accomplished its charm because of limited, controlled development. Putting a hotel in the community will be detrimental to this look and feel and provide a different demographic to our area, not to mention introduce infrastructure problems as have already been mentioned. We wholeheartedly agree with the comment posted by Susan Snyder. Here again, "Thank goodness for the wise individuals who years ago figured out a formula for development that made 30A what it is today - low density, private ownership and local businesses. We need to maintain the unique character of 30A for years to come."

30A is beyond capacity. This situation is compromising the health, safety and welfare of the residents of South Walton. Resolve the traffic congestion before adding any more daily trips through dense development like this hotel, or the hotel/spa that the Kaiya developers have proposed for 30A & Watersound Pkwy.

We own a home just north of Gulf Place on 393. Thank goodness for the wise individuals who years ago figured out a formula for development that made 30A what it is today - low density, private ownership and local businesses. We need to maintain the unique character of 30A for years to come. This can be done if we move forward with only smart development of the area. A motel is not smart development and takes our unique and wonderful place in the wrong direction.

i am an owner at Villas of Santa Rosa. The overcrowding this project would bring to 30 A would ruin the economy. Please no greedy short term gain for forever pain!

We own a house just north of the Gulf Place development. Like so many other people, we were drawn to this area of 30A because of the laid back low density residential feel of the area. Adding this development, especially the hotel, will alter that feel for the worse. I realize that development is inevitable, but please develop the area in a responsible manner that is consistent with the current small town coastal feel that has made 30A such a draw. If we lose that we will just be another Destin or Panama City. Years ago, the people of 30A had the great wisdom and foresight to restrict development along this corridor, thus giving us the truly unique area we have today - it would be a total shame to abandon that vision now.

I live at 29B Coastal Grove Way. This development is not right for the long term vacation clientele currently frequenting the area. It will become over populated and less family oriented.

I moved to this area to get away from things like hotels. I live across the street and accept the current congestion and noise in the summer, however adding a hotel is an unnecessary inconvenience that spoils the beauty and uniqueness that is 30A.

Opposed to more high density development on 30A of any kind. Growth must be comprehensively planned so as not to ruin our unique location - the reason most of us live and vacation here. Time for a moratorium on development until such a plan is put in place that addresses beach access, parking, traffic and pedestrian safety, and other related issues.

This will cause overcrowding on the beaches near Gulf Place...the development needs to put a moratorium on any permits and put up with a comprehensive plan that gets input from the residents of South Walton County.

There is not enough beach access for the residents here on the west end of 30A right now and nothing is being done to improve the existing accesses! Take care of your existing tax payers first!

We live on 30A because of its natural beauty and small community feel. We only have one public beach access close to us and it is already been over-run by people coming from San Destin and Miramar Beach. This end of 30A can not handle the traffic or any more beach goers.
