As a college swimmer, I could not imagine my life without swimming and the friendships I made through swimming. Let them swim!

Surely, you can find a better solution to your financial problems then taking away student teams. So sad.

These student athletes have been sucker punched and UB should be ashamed of how this was handled.

My brother is a student athlete on the men's swimming team. He, and the other athletes affected by this, worked their entire lives to compete in college and they chose UB for a reason. Instead of spending over $70,000 on the football team's hotels, perhaps UB can honor the contracts and promises made to the students on the teams that are being cut.

The abrupt announcement is a shock and disappointment to student-athletes and their friends and families. Very unprofessional of UB.

UB Swim has brought so much positive attention and success to they're athletics and should not be cut to make room for money to be spent on unnecessary ventures.

No swimmer should have to go through this with such a late notice on a pulling of a program.

This is not representative of what I expect from our State and Educational leaders. Hard decisions are part of life but abrupt, poorly planned and poorly communicated actions that will hurt the long term viability of UB and of a group of students (whose development and well being should be the focus of a university) are a disgrace.

Thos program is nothing short of a great academic and athletic reflection of what the University of Buffalo has to offer. Please find another way.
