How much is extra is men's swimming and diving really cost? One coach, coaches the men and women. The facility is still being used by the women. They share what little equipment they utilize with the women's team. I don't see the great savings for this one.

Completely unfair to the student athletes who dedicate half their lives to their sports. Don't end their careers like this.
Swimmer at University of South Carolina and we need to keep swimming apart of collegiate athletics

The way UB did this was amazing. They gave no forewarning to athletes OR coaches, no one had any time to possibly search for new programs, and many of these athletes are going to lose the sport that they've dedicated their entire life to.

Sports are just not a hobby. In truth sports are a lifestyle, they define you and are a part of you. By taking away those sports you took away the life of those kids. You took away their hopes, dreams, and future

I swim on the Loyola Maryland team and i cannot imagine not having a men's team. Men's swimming and diving should not be cut, they are great competitors in the MAC conference and it would change the dynamic of the Women's team!

Devastated the kids and parents this impacts. They won't want to be there anymore or go in future. You should be doing everything you can to help the kids who have full scholarships get to a new school to do their sport. You essentially fired them. Do you know how many kids cope with college classes because of their sport. It's their bliss and allows them to be a better student. You have also really impacted your schools reputation. This decision should have been made ages ago when kids could choose other colleges. Horrendous - swimming and baseball? Row. Angry. I have a loved one who went to your school years ago. This makes us all sick. I am hopeful you will find an answer. These kids want their reason for getting up in the morning.
