These teams are a part of many students lives and should not be taken away from them. Sports are an important part of school life.

The only reason to cut a combined program is due to mismanaged funds. Shared coaches, shared pool time. Disheartened that you would do this to student athletes who proudly represented your school internationally.

Football is way overfunded and not very good. Use money from there to support these other teams!

Student athletics is so important to school spirit and it is unfair to support some teams at the expense of others. Make them all share in the burden and absorb some of the cuts so that all still survive

As a 2015 graduate that rowed for 4 years on the UB women's rowing team, it is extremely hard to fathom a college life without my sport. It was essential to my development throughout college and that opportunity should not be denied to future generations of rowers to save a little bit of money. The flagship university of the SUNY system should be able to fund 20 sports teams especially since they are increasing the subsidized fee amount for students. Women's rowing, Men's baseball, swimming and diving, and soccer are all sports that are necessary to the UB athletics community. If you remove these sports, UB athletics will always feel incomplete. To the AD and President, do the right thing. These student athletes have sacrificed so much for their sport to represent your school, do not punish their hard work.

As a fellow MAC swimmer, I feel for the pain that these athletes are going through and can't imagine that happening to my team. I fully support keeping these teams going!

University of Buffalo should not have cut the teams the way they did with no warning and no back up plan for their athletes.

This is totally unfair to the student athlete and the coaches. Instead of eliminating programs they should have broken down this amount by the other 16 teams and reduced each teams budget.

So, so sad to see such a wonderful men's team get cut. And cutting all 4 teams only comes to a savings of $2 million (which is a drop in the bucket when it comes to colleges!).
Please allow these student athletes a chance at a finishing their education.
