Sports are a very important part of people's lives.

Unfair and shortsighted, to benefit from, and make promises to your student athletes, benefit from their athletic talent, then drop them suddenly, with no recourse to obtain scholarships from other universities, or to find new schools that can help them continue their athletic careers and remain competitive. You owe it to these young people to at least give them one more year, to train, compete, obtain new sources of financial resources, and plan for what's left of their academic and athletic careers.

These were some of your most impressive sports teams. Cutting them is a poor reflection of your sports teams and of the school as a whole.

Mismanagement of school funds is inappropriate. Who is responsible for this debacle.

I don't understand why you would even consider dismantling the men's swim team. Shame on you.

A $650,000,000 Endowment Fund and there is simply "no money" to continue these programs? Ridiculous. http://www.ubfoundation.buffalo.edu/investments

My son just sent his deposit for Buffalo and had every dream of trying out for the men's soccer team. He has been training and playing his entire life for this. It is just heartbreaking he won't ever get the chance. He loves Buffalo and wants to attend but this may cause him to go elsewhere

The first thing to go is always the swim team...ridiculous. For them and the other student athletes that fought for a spot on their respective teams. From one collegiate swimmer (and athlete) to the next - keep fighting!

The UB swim team is one of the best mid major swim programs in the northeast! They have produced hundreds of great student athletes and it will continue to do so if the program continues

Mens Swim and Dive Captain at CU Boulder. Swimming is what keeps me at college I would not be here otherwise. I ask that you give others this same opportunity and keep these sports affiliated and existing at your university.

Really unfair that the student athletes had no voice in this decision before it was made.
