This not only affects the students today it affects your future attracting quality athletes. They will not trust you to keep their sport. I know this will affect my decision in the future of where my daughter goes to school. I will not send her somewhere that may cancel her sport when she has worked so hard her whole life to be good at it. Terrible decision UB!

I love sports! I don't want to see myself and fellow students not being able to play the sport they love.

Sports are something we should have. Taking this away would be a mistake.

I graduated from UB in January 1990, and have seen great improvements in the UB athletics programs since then. Athletics can contribute to the university experience as much as Academics and, as an alumnus, I'm saddened to see the university take a step backwards in time. The worst-case scenario should be to leave the existing programs intact, without necessarily adding any at this time, but to deliberately remove 4 programs does not reflect the progressive policies for which UB has come to be well-known.

As a former student-athlete and current supporter of the University's athletics, it would be a grave loss for former athletes, current athletes, and the community to lose these four sports.

Disgraceful to see UB do this to their student-athletes! Even worse, considering how strong the teams that were cut were becoming.

Please don't cut the Men's Soccer program as initially announced. It broke my heart, and still does, when I saw the news that morning. Soccer (or football) is the world's sport and growing in North America at an unprecedented rate. To not allow students the opportunity to play soccer, and possibly represent the University of Buffalo when if and when they choose to become professional, would be a travesty. Especially as the men's program has advanced to the MAC Finals the past two consecutive seasons. Soccer in Western New York has also taken a hit when the WNY Flash in the NWSL were relocated. All the programs need to stay but keep soccer growing in Buffalo and UB. Horns Up!

Save money by scrapping the football program instead and spare these teams.

Do the right thing by the athletes and reinstate the four programs
The accomplishments of the men's swim team deserves greater attention.
