Swimming is an underestimated sport. The amount of time and effort put in by each individual swimmer is outstanding, and for their collegiate program to get cut is just terrible. Each year multiple swim teams throughout the country get cut because of funding. This gives fewer chances for competitive swimmers to do their sport for another 4 years, because let's face it.. not everyone is going to be the top 2 swimmer in the country and make the olympics. Do the right thing. Do whatever you have to do. Keep the swimming program alive.

Swam at Eastern Michigan, and UB has a bunch of studs that swim there and always gave us a run for our money!! Your making a REALLY BAD decision cutting them!!

Spend thousands of dollars on football team staying at local hotel...wonder how much drinking goes on that night!!! And you cut programs due to lack of money!!!! Shame on you UB... I am class of 1987.

Stop prioritizing multi million dollar new structures and an excessively disproportionate football budget for a team that does not win enough to justify it over other sports you and your board of directors seem less worthy. Those students deserve their sports too. You have the money.

As the parent of a D1 student athlete at canisius what UB has done is reprehensible. To just announce in the middle of the season that teams are cancelled is a disgrace. As a tax payer from NY I support athletics

As a former athlete, the elimination of any program is a a mistake. I would not be where I am today in life without sports, without the connections I made through athletics.

It would be an absolute disgrace to eliminate organized sports in Western New York to save a quick buck. There are some things you cannot learn about comradarie in the classroom as well as you can being a part of a team.
