There is no good reason with NY State offering free tuition at NY colleges for them not to bring these back!

Many S-A commited to come to UB as UB committed to them. Please don't destroy the trust that will be needed for other sports and S-As in other sports that will be coming to our University.

These sports provide immeasurable learning opportunities for student athletes that cannot be replaced in the classroom.

Get rid of football team that's playing out of their division and keep the sports that are actually winning

This was a disgraceful move on the university's part. To leave students and coaches with out athletic positions on such short notice is cowardly and wrong.

You took away their school, their sports, their team mates, and in many cases their hopes and dreams. "Management" next fall when you sit in the empty bleachers at the 2 "big" sports you are spending millions on already, ask yourself "was it worth"?
Call yourself the University at New York or the University at Buffalo. One thing is certain, it is all "Bull".

Please have the integrity to tell truth about why you want to cut these sports. Cutting men's swimming -- really highlights this issue. Most of the meets and all of the practices are combined with the women's team, as is the ONE coaching team for both,. it therefore makes no sense financially speaking. The actual savings are minuscule especially for a University the size of UB. The teams academic record is outstanding and always has been. I believe title IX and or a future move to add Hockey teams to be the likely root cause of this decision. In either case .. do you really think your graduates are that stupid to believe this scam?
If we really believe in promoting UB as a world class University... then don't make these decisions and announcements like so many other Universities have done. Set UB apart. Tell the real story, the truth behind this decision-- for a refreshing change and let the chips fall where they may. Because money or getting in line with other schools ... just isn't the whole story.

The only funding UB should be cutting is from the football team to be completely honest. Staying at a local hotel over night is completely unreasonable where that money could've been allocated towards something useful such as the mens soccer team. How about we start investing in a team that actually wins games.

1. Soccer's budget pales in comparison to football
2. The game of football is declining country wide, (worldwide its nearly exstinct) whereby soccer continues to grow nationally and globally. Your universities academic attracts globally, Your sports should reflect the same.
