Many students may have enrolled to this university in specific because of those established sports' teams. Determination of eleminating those athletics programs shouldn't occur out of a sudden ignoring its effect on all those students who are working hard to achieve their ambitions in these sports. I recommend that the athletic program continues at least until all students accomplish their studies in this university, and any new student that will join after this decision should be informed about it before joining the university in order to be a fair decision to all.

I am a UB engineering alum (1993). Student athletes are part of a diverse campus life and a school without these athletic opportunities will decline over time.

As a UB swimming alumnus, I am disappointed in the elimination of these 4 sports and more importantly the way the administration handled the situation for incoming and current athletes. For the first time since I graduated in 2002, I am saddened and angered alma mater.

Being an Athlete my entire life, I really hate this. These are our brothers and sisters out there that work so hard every day and had the turf ripped from under their feet.

How about cutting the plans for the new field house for the failing football team? Or, simply cut the football team. We're a town with a professional football team. People aren't going to spend their money going to college football games especially if they are consistently losing! Save that money to reinstate these four sports. At least the men's soccer program has continued to grow and make it to the MAC championships for the last several years. Not to mention producing the first ever UB Men's soccer player to be drafted to the MLS! This decision is a no braine4!

Football spent 70,000 on hotels for home games and still lose! College football is not huge in the buffalo area so drop a division so the team can compete and everyone gets to play the sports they love!

As a alumni who gives money to the soccer program and a previous player at UB soccer. This is disappointing

I attend sporting events and volunteer with the UB Marching Band. My son was looking forward to trying out for Men's soccer this year and now has to settle for just going for academics only.
