The mayor knows that taxes especially taxes on property are much too high in New Haven.. A clear majority of those who in New Haven are on the public payroll pay no taxes of consequence to New Haven. And the mayor knows that as well. And despite this, he intends to rise taxes. JL

The city residents can NOT afford any more tax hikes. You must do better. This is NOT acceptable.

Mayor Elicker enough is enough. You're not even trying to make your affiliation to Yale look on the ' up and up '. It's embarrassing.

I m tired of paying taxes to the City of New Haven as a business and land owner and getting very little for it. The roads and streets are a disaster and sidewalks are a mess.

Like pulling blood from rock….enough is enough. I just can’t understand the constant increase in taxes and spending despite the obvious strain put upon new haven residents. The city does not help to increase home ownership. It is a heavy heavy burden to live in this city. :(

Maybe I should leave the country and cross the border and then get most things paid for by hard working Americans. Once you wipe out the middle class nothing will be left to suck the blood out of.

Yes, highest inflation in 40 years, economy on the verge of recession, the last heating oil delivery I inquired about was $6.00 A GALLON--prices up everywhere, the gas pump, the grocery store--what the HELL does he care. Elicker is the poster child for utter incompetence!!! Let them eat cake, yes that's what we have here. In these times especially with the skewed revaluations in home assessments I ask you, should it not be a 6% tax cut!!!!!

Where’s my tax break for the noise and air pollution and house value crash in Morris Cove? I won’t vote for you ever again.

Stop taxing the middle class. We are drowning in debt and working many hours trying to make ends meet. Come up with more thoughtful solutions.
