As lifelong resident of New Haven and homeowner for 20 years, we are receiving less basic services in our neighborhoods and now we are looking at higher taxes. This is simply wrong. Increase revenue to New Haven should be passed along to the taxpaying homeowners who are the financial backbone of the city.

To many infrastructure give aways for wealthy developers. Millions and millions of work without permits over the years by the biggest apartment owners.

I have paid 80k in tax increases over 12 years on 3 properties. It might be time to sell.

With Inflation at a record high and an economy barrelling toward recession, add to this the flawed reassessments of property in New Haven due to the pandemic , one would think that it's prudent to catch one's financial breath and balance before even remotely considering a tax incrfease. I ask you, does this benefit New Haven, NO, it only makes living here less desirable--count over the past 20 years the number of tax increases compared to decreases. It's absolutely unconscionable!

A 10% increase last time and another now is just not realistic. Taxpaying homeowners support the entire establishment and it's time that we are heard again. While the city passes statutes, laws, guidelines, etc. to protect tenants and aggressively pursuing affordable housing regulations, developers are still getting tax incentives. At the same time, small rental property owners are burdened with rising taxes, insurance, and water and sewer use bills and are faced with no choice but to raise rents.

Please consider delaying any tax increases at this time, given inflation and the increase in gas prices. People are already strapped.
