I will never support common core...there was nothing wrong with the way our kids were being taught and this testing is absolutely absurd!! i care about my son's educations but I will NEVER support common core..

I help my children with their Math homework, and when I show my 5th grader how to do it, he already knows "that way" but he doesn't get credit for it unless he does it the Common Core way which takes a lot longer. I asked all of my children's math teachers at the beginning of the year if it mattered how they got the answer, as long as the answer was correct, and I was told it didn't matter. Now it's being counted against them if they don't do it the way they're teaching. Absolutely ridiculous. I believe some of the methods would help children who don't quite understand the concept, but the amount of time it takes to complete the problems is absolutely ridiculous!!

My daughter is having a hard time with this common core . She brings homework that I can't explain to her . We sent a note to the teacher for guidance and received no reply. Wow the teacher must be confused also. Teach kids the simple way not the Tricky way. Abolish Common Core!!

It is very hard for most students to learn this but my daughter like so many others has ADHD. This is harder for them to learn. They need patience and just don't have it.
