Rescind Common Core and let's get back to education, not indoctrination! Common Core pushes every religion other than Christianity and clearly prefers Islam as the premier religion. My daughter's testing from 2014-2015 is STILL not back yet and it's almost February 2015. This testing costs 6x more than the CRCT and the data has not even arrived to help her academic goals for the following school year. Gathering this data has been a complete waste of student time and tax payer money.

Ridiculous - especially for a 2nd grader on what she has to figure out on math problems. Seven year olds do not have the attention span to read a paragraph of "clue" information just to figure out what 36+52 equals . And 3 different ways to show it . Unreal

Education is something that should not be forced, it should be taught. Common Core is designed in a manor that will leave several children behind and create huge division between certain types of children. As a parent, I have been put in a position that won't allow me to help my children because I don't understand this Common Core Curriculum. Education is human, not political.

Common Core is nothing but a headache. My daughter loves school, but has tears streaming down her face when it comes to understanding the way math is taught. Let's go back to the way we learned.

Take it back to the old schools day's when 1+1=2 this new crap is a waste of time and very confusing for students, parents, and I'm sure teachers are having a hard time grasping to the new changes

I support a full removal of the Common Core standards in the State of Georgia. "Educating" our children to merely memorize and regurgitate materials to satisfy national testing standards is abhorrent. We are creating a generation of sheep who will be unable to identify any measure conflict, problem solving or individual achievement because the collective has let them believe they are ok to do so. Critical thought, whether in Mathematics, Science or the Liberal Arts is developed uniquely in each person. When the masses are told repeatedly, day by day, that YOUR ideas are not as important as OUR assessment of your ideas. We our literally leading our "sheep" to the slaughterhouse. REPEAL NOW!!!!

my kid has just begun learning math in school and already is struggling. When i teach my child the way i learned, instantly understands and can get correct results. that is all the proof i need. How can i help my own child do homework when i cannot explain how to do math in a way that is completely different from how i learned. Does anybody really think that i myself will ever start doing math this way? why would I since it is actually a more tedious way of doing math? Math needs to be quickly learned as it is the single most important skill to know in life. This common core is completely inefficient and it is stressful on children who want to both please their teachers and their parents. It makes them feel to blame for not understanding the common core and for upsetting their parents for being forced to do it in a way that we cannot help them with. Absolutely ridiculous. This must stop.

Please remove the common core curriculum from our schools . Word can not express the frustration I deal with everyday with my child's homework. Also my daughter has ADHD; with her diagnosis and working with her with the mathematics confuses her even further. If my daughter completes a math problem the old way, she sores with flying colors. Now, I'm not saying that common core is not beneficial, but if a child can show the steps of a math problem and solves the problem correctly, why on earth should the answer be marked wrong? That makes absolutely no sense to me. If she has followed the rules of mathematics, has shown the correct steps; why is it marked incorrect? Apparently the goal for the common core curriculum is to get children to think critically. <<< Um what? Why on earth should a 3rd grader have the need to think critical at that level. Their brains are still developing . Please stop Common Cor !

Common Core is a catastrophe. It is designed to make education easier for those students who are below average intelligent or foreigners with little English skills. It is destroying our children's educations. To dumb down intelligent students so below intelligent or underachieving students don't "feel" so incapable is idiotic. Bring back high standards and make students work for grades. Stop enabling another generation of victims crying that life is too tough. If we continue down this course, our future will be filled with even more whining, slackers who complain that everything is unfair and they deserve the Government to take care of them

Commn core is a wonderful tool if our goal is to turn our children totally against any type of math. As an applied math major in college I can not understand why any one with half a brain would think that confusing our children would help them learn. Oh I guess i forgot that we are talking about politicians, well so much for half a brain....

Common core is a terrible set of standards that is dumbing down our children and certainly not preparing our children for college and work. In the real world simplicity is valued of complexity. That's exactly what Common Core is. Complex for the sake of being complex. It just makes no sense.

Dividing up sciences among classe, not teaching factual American history,adding politically correct stories etc. does not benefit our children to compete. We want PROVEN, standards with unbiased true information. And by the way, we want math to be taught simply, not this ridiculous process that so frustrates the students so they don't want to learn it.
