Common core is trash. It's birthed from a bunch of God hating government elected officials that want to dumb down our children so they will be dependent on government assistance. COMMUNISM at it's finest form.

I can relate to all of the parents' comments. My son loves math, but he doesn't like common core math. He is on the autism spectrum and desires the opportunity to come to an answer in a clear and concise way. The multiple formats the students have to show their work is confusing. They are not learning the basics anymore. And as far as reading and writing, when has learning grammar not been a fundamental principle of learning to read and write?

The government doesn't need to be in charge of my childs education. Leave it to the voters of the state to decide. We need to get back to the Declaraton of Independence and give us our freedom back.

I have seen my children made to lean ways to do mathematics that are confusing and make absolutely no sense! The traditional math has worked for hundreds of years and should stay. The ELA should include grammar and spelling. In order to write well, these are essential elements. Each state should have the right to choose standards that are appropriate for their students and parents should have a voice in these decisions!

The Federal government should NOT be in control of our children's education. Local communities, principals, teachers, parents should have the most control over the educational experience for their children.
