6 weeks into 5th grade, and my 10 year old has already been subjected to highly inappropriate "literature" and told she can't use advanced level math (long division). She is being told to read adult literature and learn math as though in kindergarten! Please, please stop this!!!

This is so ridiculous. A math answer is the same no matter how you do it. My granddaughter gets the normal math but not this garbage.

Why are we lowering the bar? In order to make sure that my children are not under educated because of this Common Core garbage I am going to have to school them at home too. This is a great way to ensure mediocrity in not only our local communities, but on a global stage as well. REMOVE IT

Common core is intended to do nothing more than dumb down our children so they can be controlled by government. This is not suppose to be the case. The government is suppose to be the servant of the people.
