Stop The Common Core in Georgia

This will not help us to compete with the world in terms of achievement.

We will no longer trust our state leaders to make decisions on what THEY think is best for OUR children. We are educated, concerned parents and we WILL have a say in what our children are taught! Repeal Common Core or get the hell out of our way!!

This thing is bullshit. I want an education, not some stupid thing that tells me this and this.

Everyone I talk to doesnt trust our politicians, so why do these same people sit on the sidelines and let these politicians make choices that hurt our kids

I am very unhappy with the common core curriculum. This is by far the most ridiculous curriculum. My straight A student spends 2 hours on homework! My 7 yr old who already was having difficulties in reading, but was a great math student, is now struggling to understand this crap! Take it out of our schools!!!!!!! Why is it not enough to teach the children 5+5=10? Now they have to take half a page to explain why and how they come with the answer. Someone listen to the parents and do what is right for the children.

This has been going on too long, and must be stopped by all good folks who want American children to be a positive force for good of our American future.

Common Core isn't working we need to STOP it ASAP.

I have experienced and have been watching the impact of new federal "ideas" in education since the late 1960s when, interestingly, "Why Johnny Can't Read" was published. The educational quality our children receive (I presently have a son in kindergarten) has steadily fallen off as new means of interferring in classrooms have been implemented. This nonsense needs to stop, and the freedom to teach and guage results returned to the classrooms and the districts where it belongs.

We the people . .were by-passed (parents, teachers, local school boards & state legislation) and need to STOP Common Core.

I just saw some examples of CC and I am nearly shaking with rage. The subtle hints that Government creats jobs, to question your parents, 2+2=5 can be correct. I am speechless at how this garbage came to pass
