My son has always excelled in Math, but now he finds this new method very frustrating. I'm upset as a parent that I was not informed of this new change nor was I given any information on Common Core. It's extremely confusing & I do not want my son to learn Math this way. I, too, want my son taught the right way & not this nonsense!

my son is in autistic & is in high school & struggling with the math he also was thrown into regular classes due to the budget cuts rick Scott did on pbc high school ESE classes so you can imagine he is getting no help in school due to the teachers having 25 kids in this class & the teacher struggling to understand the math as well & trying to teach each kid so when my son brings home the math we are sitting doing math to 12 midnight cause with him having aspergers he is struggling understanding common core math & I am struggling as well because I am not getting it myself we need to bring the schools back to the old school ways when I was in high school early 90's we need to bring back special diplomas my daughter is also in 7th grade & is crying @ night that she is so confused & can not understand the math we just need to get back to basics with our school systems

Common Core provides repression for our children. The whole process undermines us as parents and degrades our students by not letting them excel. This keeps them repressed to 'someone' elses standard than that students own. Allowing the government to control how are children learn and reach goals undermines that student as well as us parents.

My child and every child I know is struggling under common core. The standards were not field tested. It'll take 12 years to see how this works. I'm pulling my daughter out of first grade to homeschool. This is a power grab by our government.
