The owners of Seaview are considering the closure of the TwoTides Clubhouse to turn it into toilets or another amenity.
This is against the wishes of the residents, who have not been consulted
The clubhouse is a great place for Seaview residents, visitors and locals to relax, socialise and meet others. There is no other entertaininment venues available to residents/visitors of the site.
The volume of support has now reached a scale that demands a formal response from the Seaview owners. I am drafting a letter detailing our opposition to the clubhouse closure for delivery to management later this week.

Lovely place to visit, warm, friendly staff, great hosts who hold great entertainment events.
I also think that’s residents and seasonal people need a place to meet and socialise and the properties of Seaview are bang out of order not consulting with them.
Thank you Lee and family for doing a great job xx

Why would you want to close a clubhouse that makes money so you can open a toilet to spend a penny. When there's toilets block 200mtrs away. What a crazy idea and not well thought out.

Two Tides is not just a source of entertainment for Seaview Residents it is also for the Residents of Mersea Island. Great entertainment and smashing traditional pie & mash is on offer.
Why not just upgrade the existing amenities already available to residents. What a tradegy...

I really feel for the residents, who are dealing with a rent increase and now losing their clubhouse. Also as a frequent visitor both touring and day visitor the clubhouse will be sadly missed. It will influence whether we stay next summer or not.

I will be checking the contract,I'm certain it had wording about a club house and entertainment. If this does go ahead the people who made this decision will rue the day. I think alot of people will sell up and go elsewhere.
