I was born and bred in Atherstone, it is where I consider to be home although I currently reside out of neighbouring town Nuneaton. When I visit Barcode it isn't simply for a drink but to converse with friends and family old and young from my upbringing. Every visit I make I am made to feel completely welcome. Barcode is a safe, fun, friendly and vibrant venue with a family feel to it. It is tragic Sean, Danny and Lee find themselves in this position, especially after all of their support to charity and the local community. I hope and pray for a swift and positive resolution.

I DJ'd at this club for nearly a year up until January this yr. Never saw one incident of trouble or violence. Management, bar staff and door staff are some of the kindest, friendliest most generous people in the business. To close this venue would leave such a massive void in the towns community. Shame on the councillor who made this decision. It seems a personal decision /agenda, rather than for the good of the taxpayers that pay his wages!! Or for the good of the hard working tax payers about to lose their job at the club!! Ye happy Christmas from Atherstone council!! Not!!

Local business doing what it can to provide a safe place for people to socialise. Barcode has raised thousands for charities and have given so much to the local community.

Will be such a shame if this closes. Although I was sceptical about it at first it's proved a point to me in 2 1/2 yes it's been open there's never been any trouble and you'll be taking people's livelihoods away!

There's not many places I would personally choose to drink socially in Atherstone, purely down to feeling intimidated or uneasy, however in the 2 years I have been going in Barcode I've never yet seen any trouble, violence or bad behaviour.... just friendly familiar faces and people having a good time!!!

This town is becoming a joke!! Such a lovely atmosphere and friendly faces/people this town needs more of these places instead of it becoming a ghost town.

There is no reason why this place should close it's a good place there's never any trouble I actually live a few doors down from the barcode and it's a real friendly place people are always welcome good security on the door always welcoming the people who own the place are very nice The people who drink in there are really nice don't understand why someone would want to close such a good place in the town what are the council thinking it's beyond me that they think they can just go around closing places down good businesses for no particular reason I would like to know why the council think It should Shut Down it doesn't make any sense A good place where people can go out and have afriendly drink have a friendly night out with friends have a bit of a dance and go home happy why would anyone want to shut the place down

I can't understand the thought process behind serving a notice on a well managed safe venue, keep Barcode open, Sean and his team do an amazing job!
